The Denver Post reached out with an opportunity to document the Prince Memorial Tribute at the Red Rocks Amphitheater. It was my first experience ever at Red Rocks, and, oh-holy-shit-what-a-show.
The sold out venue created a wild, eerie energy that I have to believe the deluge of purple rain that afternoon brought with it off the hills.
So much talent showed up--with a week's notice to prepare--and delivered performances that reincarnated Prince in genuine, raw, unexpected ways.
